Dr. Charles Wallace, MD, FACS, Medial Director

Dr. Wallace is a native of the Dallas area and has been in private practice for over 15 years. After graduating Cum Laude from Richardson High School and Magna Cum Laude from the University of Texas at Austin, he attended the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School of Dallas. Dr. Wallace completed his General Surgery Internship in the Department of Surgery at the University of Hawaii in Honolulu. He served as a General Surgery resident at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas, training an extra year in Hand and Micro Surgery with the Lankford, Zehr, Dibella group at Baylor.

Dr. Wallace is Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and is an active member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons. He is also an active member of the Dallas County, Texas, and American Medical Associations, the Society of Baylor Surgeons, the Cronin and Brauer Society, The Dallas Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Texas Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons. He also has been elected to Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons.

Karim Halani, MedSpa Director of Operations
Although an entrepreneur at heart, he has had a long passion for the Health and Beauty industry, perhaps because he is surrounded by the medical professionals in his family, but also his drive and commitment to improve the life and well-being of others from within.  Having spent 18 years in the corporate world, lastly as an IT executive, he finally decided to pursue his passion for this industry because it gives me a tremendous opportunity to make a difference in other peoples’ lives, each and every day; and live life with passion.  He is committed to making Serena MedSpa, second to none by living and practicing the values of honesty, integrity, adding value, respect for each other and making a difference each and every day!

Andie Coffin, Medical Aesthetics Nurse
Andie, has practices in the field of nursing for over a decade and in the last several years developed a passion of Medical Aesthetics.  She has started a Medical Aesthetics practice for a physician from ground up and has experience in all aspects of the business.  However, her passion lies in the training and fulfilling the goals of her patients and clients.  She balances training and educating other nurses’ in the art of injectables and practical applications of injectables, equally well.  At Serena MedSpa, Andie, focuses on the Botox, Restylane, Juvederm and Elite-Lippo Dissolve.

Sonia Garza, Medical Aesthetician
Sonia’s interest in makeup artistry led her to a career in the aesthetics field.  Graduating from esthetics school in 2003 with a newfound passion for skincare, she further trained at premier day-spas for several years before transitioning to the medical aesthetics world and had loved it ever since. Sonia’s experience vastly contributed to the successful opening of Serena MedSpa.

Sheena Breeden, Medical Aesthetician
Sheena’s sensitivity to beauty made her who she is today.  Knowing the effectiveness of advanced skincare, she quickly progressed into medical aesthetics shortly after graduating from esthetics school in 2003. Her adoration for constant and never-ending improvement for others’ wellbeing has made her a defining force at Serena MedSpa.

Christina Jasso, Spa Coordinator
Christina- A 2006 esthetics graduate, Christina is new to the medical practice of skincare and expanding her knowledge in the industry.  As the Spa Coordinator for Serena MedSpa, she is excited about the limitless possibilities in advanced skincare and the constant growth from working with such talented professionals.  Christina will greet you with a warm smile and ensure that you are taken care of throughout your experience.

Dr. James Amsberry
Dr. James Amsberry is a highly-skilled Plastic Surgeon with a distinctive academic background. With over 14 years of surgical expertise and extensive experience in Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) and Plastic Surgery.

Dr. Amsberry consistently received top honors throughout his academic life, including graduating Summa Cum Laude from the Franciscan University (BA). He earned his medical degree from the ORU - School of Medicine in Tulsa, Oklahoma where he likewise garnered a host of awards and distinctions. He went on to eight years of surgical training in several prestigious institutions including University of California (Davis-East Bay) Thomas Jefferson University Hospital (Philadelphia, PA), Oregon Health Sciences University (Portland, OR), and is currently the Chairman of the Department of Plastic Surgery at the Naval Medical Center, San Diego, California.

He is a member of various reputable medical organizations such as the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, American Academy of Otolaryngology (Head and Neck Surgery) and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He is currently active in the practice of laser medicine and surgery and a Medical monitor of several laser research projects.

Mr. James Parrott
Mr. James Parrott has 20 years of diversified healthcare business development and management experience. His extensive healthcare background includes serving as Administrator of a multi-site Cosmetic Surgery group; Western Regional Manager for a major pharmaceutical firm; and Vice President of Business Development for an emerging healthcare company with responsibility for opening a multitude of free-standing facilities across the western half of the United States.

Mr. Parrott brings a wealth of knowledge in the areas of Regulation Compliance, Insurance, and acquisition of Medical Technology.

John Buckingham
Mr. Buckingham is a founding board member of the International Medical Spa Association and serves as their Vice President of Corporate Affairs. He has co-created, with the University of California, Irvine, a new Spa and Hospitality Management Certificate Program. The first and only one of its kind in the United States, this program meets the growing spa and wellness industry demands for spa management professionals. Mr. Buckingham serves on the UCI faculty of this new program teaching the MedSpa and Marketing courses.
